Dr. Khant is Board certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases at Christ Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Khant has been in practice in the Tampa Bay Area since 1986. He is one of the pioneers of Bay Area Cardiology Associates. He was Director of the Catheterization Laboratory at Brandon Hospital for four years and has served on the Board of Directors at Brandon Hospital. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Brandon Area American Heart Association. He was awarded 2010 physician of the year at Brandon Hospital. He has served in several different committees at Brandon Hospital.
His special interests are Clinical Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Ultrasound, Cardiology research, Coronary Angiography, Coronary Angioplasty and Stents.
