Dr. Betzu is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his Medical Doctorate from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico.
Dr. Betzu completed his residency at the Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York subsequently followed by a two year fellowship in Cardiology. Hist previous teaching appointments include the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor, and SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York as an Assistant Clinical Instructor. Prior to private practice in Brandon, he held the position of Associate Chief of Cardiology at The Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York.
