Dr. Chokshi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Diseases from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Electrophysiology at Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago Illinois. He underwent interventional cardiology training at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. He received his MBA degree from University of South Florida – MBA for Physicians program. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the University of South Florida. He is reported in the US World News and Reports as one of the best physicians.
He has published more than 70 articles in peer review journals and has authored chapters in medical textbooks. He served as Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Tampa General Hospital for 18 years.
His major interests are Interventional Cardiology (Cardiac Catheterization, Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty, Coronary Stenting, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiac Arrhythmia Evaluation, and Tilt Table Testing. His other interest in Integrative Cardiology, including Yoga, Ayurveda, herbal supplements and wellness.
